I'm always looking for new ways to add more into my music videos. I've been looking at this video( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3HeLs8Yosw&ob=av3e ) and just wanted to know if anyone knows what process was used to achieve effects like the text that flashes up with the newspaper behind it - and and also where she's leaning back and the smoke is spelling the words?

I'm sure AE was used but didn't want to post in both forums?

They are performing a method known as travel/track matte where basically you combine the text with a newspaper image for the text on some things. This can be done more smoothly in AE but FCP also has some ability to do travel mattes. The smoke letters would definitely be an After Effects thing
