Effects in King Kong

[John C Lyons]

they were way behind schedule, this movie was incredibly ambitious. they were paying anyone almost anything to come down there and help out, they hardly made the release.

ambitious is totally awesome, but this is what i dont get, so much pressure to release a film even when its obviously not ready. why couldnt this have been a summer 2006 release? its not gonna get any oscars, so why the winter push? the production company(s) know they have gold so why push out a lackluster (effects) version?

as i have said too in the half dozen or so other threads i loved the movie, but these little mistakes kept popping up that should have had no place on a final print in a theater for a $200+M Peter Jackson movie. that bugs me alot.

my only hope is they make a solid release on dvd, and complete the effects, otherwise im not buying.
