effects freezing

Lately, Ive had problems with my video effects freezing- i.e. film effects freeze on one frame- the scratch line never changes, hair and dust peices do not move, the film effect is frozen. Also, this happens on other effects where I used to be able to click on the effect button, adjust the appropriate effect, and it would automatically apply to the whole clip. Now whenver I click on the effect button, i have to click on the keyframe point at the beginning of the clip and set the levels- without being able to view it. Or, I adjust the levels which automatically generates the levels at that keyframe only, and then slide the keyframe marker to the beginning of the clip- but I never had to do that before. Also, this doesnt work for the film effects - that is still frozen. Ive removed the program and reloaded it- same problems. any ideas? Thanks-

For the film effects not being animated, sounds like you need to update to the latest version of Vegas 6.

Need to know more about the other problem -- can you post some screen shots of what you're doing in the effects editor?
