Effects Failed To Render

Well this just started happening. To clear this up, I have already updated Final Cut Studio 2. The problem I'm having is some of my effects don't work all of a sudden. When I use them I get a red card with it saying "The effect "Bloom" failed to render" This happens with a few effects. I'm running Leopard on a Macbook Pro. Any ideas?

Okay just figured something weird. And FCP is a weird assed program. So this is the deal. The effects wont work when my sequence is set to NTSC!?!

I have it set to NTSC and I am using video that is 720p. I'm doing so because I want to render to a 4:3 scale, with it having letter box.

Well when I open a 720p sequence, and use the 720 footage in it, it does not seem that I have the problem anymore. WTF?!?!?


Well thats weird, any idea why?
