Effect - How Do I ?

I have seen this done a couple of times. I want to know how to make a object person enter the frame, disappear and then reappear towards the end of the clip. I don't want to link to someones media just in case. Is that a clear enough explanation ?

If I understand you correctly, you can lock down the tripod and press record while the talent walks passed the camera. Then while you edit just take out the middle section so that the talent jumps. Maybe that is what you mean?

If not maybe you could post a link to something that shows the effect you want.

Lock down your tripod do your shot with your person and get the frame empty without moving the camera or the lighting and do a crossdissolve between the shot with your actor and the one empty.

It depends what final look your going for using opacity is another way once the clips are layered. Try to take out moving objects when your shooting for the cleanest match.

A long empty corridor is a good one - nothing moves. Exterior windy day isnt if theres lots of trees swaying in your shot.
