Effect for Super 8

Sorry for the double post, but I thought I posted this in the film camera section until I looked up.
I have a Beaulieu 4008 ZMII as well as a Panasonic DVX100b. Now I know how to do special effects on the Panasonic, but on the Beaulieu how could I achieve this. By this I mean digital. Is it possible?

You would transfer the film to videotape or hardrive and then do the effects in NLE.

You can do really cool Super-8 effects if you buy a super-8 camera that has time-exposure capabilities.
