Effect Automation in Audition CS6

I'm having some issues with automating effects. I have a track that I want to have some reverb come on, then come off. I watched the video on AdobeTV where this technique is demonstrated in CS5.5 and I've followed the instructions to the letter (I think).
Apply effect to a track, twirl down automation, and then you should be able to select the effect you want to automate from the envelope list, only the list doesn't show the effect. Did something change between 5.5 and CS6? I've been a Vegas user for almost ten years, I'm a recent convert to Adobe, so it's possible I'm missing something, just can't figure out what. Thanks.

Played with it some more and it seems that because Reverb isn't promised to be a realtime effect, I can't automate it. Yes? But EQ showed up just fine.

EDIT
Wow I feel dumb, tried a different reverb effect and it works. Is there a list of what effects are realtime and which are not?

I don't think there are too many people here using Audition. My evaluation time is up on my new computer, and I didn't have time to even evaluate Audition. The new Mac Book Pro worked great with CS6 Premiere... no playing halting/hesitation issues, etc... for a project that was pretty crappy on my aging hardware... So, I just have to spend for the package... I'm thinking about going with the 'cloud' subscription...

Yeah, the performance is amazing. I'm really loving the integration so far, and as I'm learning the nuances, I'm getting more comfortable. Got another issue though, not sure if anyone else has noticed it or not. When Premiere exports your video and audio to Audition, it gives you a 29.97 avi file for the video, even if it's a 23.976 timeline. While I can change the units in Audition to 23.976, the playback speed is still 29.97 because of the video. Anyone know how to fix this?

I didn't run into that problem when I exported a previous project. Maybe you weren't exporting a 23.976 sequence or something, or missed the value in a dialog.

I doubled checked my sequence, it's 23.976. When the dialog pops up, the only video related option is to export video or not, nothing about framerates. I know it's got to be something I'm doing, because my track names are not transferring over either. I'm installing the update for Audition now, hopefully that helps.
