This is interesting. An adapter which would be perfect for the old FS100 or any other
Sony E mount bodies. For example, you can buy the Sony A6000 for $398, and it shoots
in 50Mb XAVC!! Add this adapter and you have from 2-10 stops of ND plus you can adjust
iris and have built in IS. Pretty cool. Obviously there are downsides, in that there is no
'clear' setting. Also, it currently is only an APSC adapter so it can't be used with the Sony A7S
or A7R unless it is in 'crop sensor' mode. However, I saw a question from a user about
making a full frame version and the official response was something along the lines of
'We are aware of the desire for other versions and will be attempting to address
what users want going forward.'
There are also rumors of a M4/3 version coming soon. Pretty cool. This is one of the neat
features of the FS5....variable ND built in. And the price is less than the Metabones smart adapter.
