EEFX Greenscreen Experiences

I am about to finally spring for a 15x24 foam-backed screen from eefx.com after having read many rave reviews all over the interweb. Anyone want to share their experiences here before I get out the credit card? Are there any companies with a similar (durable foam-backed) product that you would recommend?

Cheers!

i tried to get ahold of them for about a week via phone and emails, no answer either way, went with laraghouse.com instead, they answered all my calls and replied to emails fast, for anyone that finds this searching

Wow necropost!

I ended up ordering from these guys and was very happy with the product. Still using it today. In fact, I just bought 2 more pieces last week coincidently. I will report here if anything goes awry.

I would love it for my eefx order to work out. I'm left with hoping to get my money back. I placed my order on March 1st after a month, It should take 6-10 days. I called and was told there was a quality control issue. They never contacted me to tell me about the problem or the delay. Now we are more than two months from when I ordered and I have been given the same answer... quality control issues. The worst part about dealing with them is a complete lack of customer service. They have NEVER contacted me in response to e-mails or voice mails. When I try to reach them, it takes dozens of calls to get through to a real person. When I do talk to a real person, I can't believe anything they say. I'm surprised to see people have ordered green screens from them and actually had them deliver.

Good luck with EEFX. I'll be looking someplace else.

If you have had problems like this you should simply do a chargeback on your credit card and/or open a dispute through PayPal. These are very easy processes and they slam companies with hefty charges when they go through. It teaches them a lesson and get's you your money back win-win-... win?

Win win would be I give them money, they send me a green screen. Do chargebacks work with debit cards?

Thanks

I ordered a green screen from eefx.om on Feb 3, 2011 and after several emails and one phone call with a promise to get me the product… no product. It seems they have no intention of filling the order only taking my money. I should have checked further on this company before ordering and the BBB F rating I think sums it up nicely. You may also like to look at their Facebook page.

Yeah just an update on my situation. I ordered from them May 3rd, waited for the 10-16 business days estimated manufacturing time to pass, then requested an update on my order. After another week with no response, I opened a PayPal dispute. They are completely radio silent, even with PayPal. It's a real shame, as it is a great product and they were a legit and responsive business at one point in time. It seems that they shut down operations a while ago and left the website up. Now they are simply collecting money and relying on people to forget about their order until the dispute window (45 days on PayPal) closes.

I'm having the same experience with eefx.com. I've been using them for years, and while they're always slow, they have always shipped the product eventually. And I haven't found anyone else with nearly as good a product as their foam backed bluescreen.

Does anyone have any alternative contact info for them? I'd really love to get my $$ back, but I'm outside the 45 days for Paypal disputes.

Oh my goodness, this is the exact same experience I am going through. I have ordered from EEFX about half a dozen times in the past and have always been extremely satisfied. I placed another order on 3/22, though, and it has not come (just like you, my receipt said it would ship in 6-10 days). The ignore all emails and phone calls. When I got the one woman on the phone, she said that the same thing, "quality control issues." Said she would look into the situation and get back to me, though never has. I haven't disputed the charge, because I would rather have the product than my money back. I have finally reached my limit, though, and disputed the charge today. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, for whatever that's worth. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM EEFX!!!
