Just had an earthquake 10 seconds ago here in the bay area, decent shake, scared the **** outta me, just letting ya know. LOL. i was typing a reply then the place starts shaking and the first thing on my mind is the HVX!!! LOL. :furious3:
 
4.4 not too bad. I haven't felt a good one in some time. I don't usually get too excited at anything under 5.0, though...:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

lol...ya its been a while for me, last over 6.0 was when i was in Eureka, CA a decade ago! They get tons of earthquakes too.
 
Yeah, we had some tornados sweep through the area last night, but they knew better than to get near my place. :beer:
 
I can't express how much I'm looking forward to my first Quake when i move to Cali.

There just aren't words.

Ohh and i heard that it snowed in Johannesburg, South Africa. How's that for end of the world type stuff?
 
Stuff like that scares me more and more the older I get. Especially in these unsettling times with Katrina and the great Tsunami and global warming, Hezbollah, etc. I sound like Debbie Downer.
 
the worst part about a quake is for those few seconds you are wondering if it is going to be 'the big one' .. that is the scary part.

A Tornado is totally predictable and forecastable. Knowing its trajectory and velocity it is easy to stay out of its way..

An Earthquake on the other hand.. wow.. I cant imagine the ground below my feet shaking.. Scares the S%^t out of me..

Although Im from Kansas and im a stormchaser so Im sure you can see my bias.. lol
