Edius and Layers of Sequences

Heya,

I'm wondering is it possible to layer sequences and effects? I know I can superimpose, but I'm actually looking to use three layers without losing colour distinction, and to have the ability to green screen within the different layers.

An example of what I'm looking for might be layer 1: a train moving past in real time. Layer 2: a pane of glass shattering in slow motion. Layer three: A sliver of glass still on the screen but with movement reflected in it. I also would like to be able to apply filters and effects to them as needed.

These would all need to be visible at the same time - I know this is complicated, so does anyone have any tips?

Thanks,

Do you mean applying a single color correction filter to those 3 layers? you can have nested sequences. after doing your adjustments in those three layers in (sequence 1)you can create another sequence (sequence 2) and drop in the timeline sequence 1, which is treated as a single clip.

You can still go back to sequence 1 and tweak. The adjustments is automatically reflected in the 2nd sequence. If you change the length in sequence 1, say increasing its duration, you have to manually "pull" the tail end in sequence two till it "snaps" to its new length.

Okay, thank you very much. I figured it was better to ask before I attempted something potentially impossible XD
