editting question: replaying a footage slower

hi guys, got a question: when I edit I'd love to play it one frame at a time or in a very slow manner so that I can see where I should cut out bad scenes, how am I doing this?

ALT-Arrow will go frame by frame where Arrow will go pixel by pixel (which could be 1 or MORE frames).
 
You can set the playback speed... it's in the left-hand column, under all the tracks.

The JKL keys may or may not also help.
 
And if you forget and use Ctrl-Arrow, you'll be cussin' and fussin' because you'll go all the way to the one end or the other and have to find your way back to where you were.

Yes, did that more than once. This week.
