Hello, Long time viewer, first time poster. I am very new to HighDef filming, so i apoligise for any stupididty on my behalf.

I have a sony XR-200 HD camera, which I believe records in 1080 50i
I also have a Sanyo HD1010 which records 1080 60i.

Now when I import these files into Adobe Premiere CS4 and into their correct presets, they play and edit smoothly with respect to their presets.

I have already filmed some footage for a music video in Australia, Darwin.

My question is which preset will allow me to edit both file types without having to Pre-render the files?? (if that exist)

Or do I just import them into a general preset (like 24P perhaps) and just render everything, or just choose 50i or 60i to render everything.

If anyone can give me a few pointers for this, that would be helpful.
The footage is straight from the camera, without the use of filters, orAdapters, what can be doneto create a cinematic feel to the footage,???

Thanks

Neither. You will get a red bar on one or both of them no matter your Sequence preset.

As to which one to pick, I'd err on the side of how you plan to deliver.
