This is a simple problem with what I am sure is a simple solution. I want to isolate a certain track be it audio or video individually and earase certain parts. Currently when I select a portion of track it earases both audio and video, if I hit delete. I know I'm dumb how do I do this?

I am currently holding down shift to highlight my tracks

You could lock the other tracks, that would probably keep things from being deleted on them.

Or, there's an option to ignore event grouping, that'd probably do it too.
