Ok, so am really new to Premiere but I am sitting here having a really simple(?) problem. I have the latest update 3.2.0, and I am trying to edit XDcam-HD 35mbHQ footage from a F350. I open a project with the right properties from the list, but I cannot import the files in any way. I have tried it by keeping the XDcam disc file structure intact and just plain .mxf files generated by the camera but neither work.
I am on a Mac. Do I need to use another program to import the discs to my computer and then ingest into Premiere? (I'm new to the Mac as well...)
