Shot my first 5 min short, doing the editing now, using Sony Vegas Pro 8.0c software. One question that comes to mind is about doing color correction / brightness / contrast-- should I do that on the about 30 different clips individually, or just line up my 30 clips then apply color / brightness / contrast on the whole film at once (and if doing that should I first render out the entre 30 clips to a single video file to then import into the Vegas NLE as a new project (one video file) to then apply color and such to? All the shots were done pretty much with the same lighting conditions, exposure.
This being my first film, my first editing project, also I am wondering what the standard workflow is? Obviously snip and clip and arrange shots onto the timeline. But then what? My guess would be color correct, then dialog, then CGI/VFX, then titles and credits, then soundtrack music? Probably seems obvious to most, but being my first project what seems intuitive to me may not be the correct workflow so I just want to check if I am way off base.
