Editing system - Quad G4, iMac or Macbook Pro?

I'm putting together a quote for my work on a mac-based HD editing system. Something that can import, edit, and deal with all possible types of footage that can be shot on the HVX.

Does it make sense to get the Quad G5? Obviously everything is transitioning to Intel, so I'm hesitant to suggest that route. However, I'm worried the iMac is underpowered, same for the MacBook Pro. At least the MacBook can run the 30 inch display, which I'd also be getting (so we at least have a monitor that can play HD properly.

Any thoughts on the best system?
 
You cant expand the macbook, storage options are limited, get the quad and work now - thats what I did.
