Editing Software?

I recently bought a D90 and have been taking some pretty nice images. However they do need some minor tweaking. I am looking to buy some image editing software that is reasonably priced (no more than say $350). I am somewhat familiar with adobe products but would be open to other suggestions. anyone know anything about adobes lightroom software?

I'm not sure if Lightroom is the one you want. It's more based on management than editing. Still a good program, but not Photoshop. But I've barely ever used it personally, no real comment there.

GIMP is free. Google it, try it, see what you think. Free is a lot less than $350.

If it's just minor tweaking than I would absolutely suggest Lightroom. It's great for managing photos, but it's also pretty powerful (and easy!) when it comes to tweaking. You can download it and try it for free from Adobe as well.

Agreed. LR2 is where I do 95% of my editing. I do all of my exposure, curves, contrast, cropping, sharpening, ect. in Lightroom. It even has brushes for masked adjustments as well as a clone tool. That said, if the editing gets too heavy then I use Ps. But if what you are saying is true, and that the adjustments are just tweaks, then I bet lightroom will manage it for you.
