Editing sliding shots opinions

Hi everyone, I've a shoot coming up and I just wanted to gather a few opinions if I can? I'll be shooting single characters on a dolly moving side ways both in wide and cu. In the wide it'll just be a glide across as a character looks into cam and in the cu they'll be delivering a line. My question is, which do you think would cut better? If the glide was going in the same direction for the wide and cu, or opposing directions?

For example
wide dollying left to right - character looking into lens - we hear the audio of their line begin
cu dollying left to right - we see the line completed
vs
wide dollying left to right - character looking into lens - we hear the audio of their line begin
cu dolly right to left - we see the line completed

In an ideal world I'll get all the options covering all the bases, but just wondered if anyone has shoot a spot with a similar convention and whether you made any discoveries which could be useful? If not, any guesses, it's my feeling that both should work, but I just wanted to draw on everyone's collective experience as I don't want to jump cut too much.
