I am looking in to creating my own post-production facility for any kind of editing except film - based on MC6.
What are the norms regarding hardware? What would I need to be professional? Currently I've got a 24GB, i7, PC with MC6 installed. What else would I need? Two 24" calibrated IPS LCDs. And a client monitor? Do I need to get an expensive monitor to be professional? Also I've got an Avid keyboard with stickers.
What about I/O? Mojo and nitris are out of the question. And what about drives? If I would rent the place out I would need to provide a different RAID to every customer probably, or something...? Regarding sound? Currently I have two Alesis M1Active620 speakers. Are those good enough? And to what should I hook them up, to the I/O?
