Editing Order of Operations

Does anyone know of any online tutorials or guides to editing on premiere (or even editing in general)? I'm a first-time editor and the project is due in one week. I've checked out the Adobe video tutorials and while they help with basic, specific functions, they don't give a good overview of general workflow and order of operations.

For example, when should one apply color effects and color matching? What's the best way to do ADR (before or after rendering the scene/project)? How and when should one adjust, normalize, and limit the audio?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

when finishing things up. Ya dont wanna waiste time color correcting or designing audioaround a scene or shot that'll wnd up on the cutting room floor. Cut it to time then go back with layers of love.
the art of the edit forum on creativecow is a good place to discuss this stuff.
