Editing iPhone Footage

Looking for tips on editing footage originating from an iPhone.

My best suggestion is - don't.

Use a proper camera for shooting video. Use your cell phone for making phone calls.

Without even trying the iPhone footage by itself, I transcoded it to ProRes and then everything was just like normal.

I have taken to doing that lately - transcoding all footage that is in anything other than ProRez/DNxHD or RAW becasue I got tired of all the "gotchas" of all the other compression codecs.

In order to edit iphone footage with Premiere you need to change the variable framerate to constant framerate.
You can do that with e.g. Handbrake.
