Editing how-to suggested DVDs/books?

Any suggested DVDs or books so I could learn tips on editing? (DVD would be nice, visual examples). I just finished shooting my second short film (10 page supernatural horror), got fantastic footage and audio. I want to do a better job editing this time around compared to my first short film. I got good coverage, wide, medium, close-ups, XCUs, OTS shots, etc. An opportunity for me to learn to edit the footage better.

I do not know of any books, but you have the ability to learn everything by just trying it out with your latest project. Like most things film, editing skill doesn't come from a book, it is achieved through practice. Learn from the mistakes you made on your last short. Unless you have a deadline to turn in the project just spend as much time as you need to make the best product you can.

Books*:

In the Blink of an Eye (Murch)

The Conversations (Murch/Ondaatje)

The Film Sense (Eisenstein)

Film Form (Eisenstein)

Sculpting in time (Tarkovsky)

When the Shooting Stops… The Cutting Begins (Rosenblum/Karen)

On Film Editing (Dmytryk)

Final Cut: Conversations with Film Editors (ed. Oldham)

Thanks for the list. I also just go The Filmmakers Handbook and wow, it has an entire chapter devoted to the science of editing-- not the computer end of it, but the theory of what to cut where, how to make the story flow. Plus another chapter on the technical/PC end of editing. Very nice.
