Editing HDV and DVCPROHD on the same timeline?

According to the GET INFO when I right click on the footage in the finder:

I have 80% of the footage shot on a Canon XL-H1 @ HDV 1080p24 (1440x1080) 24fps

and 20% of the footage shot on a Panasonic HPX-170 @ DVCPRO HD 1080i60 (1280 x 1080) 24fps

How do I make these match, if possible at all? Because when I edit on the HDV timeline, the HPX footage is slightly skippy, and it doesn't seem like I can change the timeline settings sequence for just a few clips on the timeline.

Thanks,

David

Don't edit on an HDV timeline...that is the worse of the two formats. Edit on a DVCPRO HD timeline. And it will be "slightly skippy" as you will get some sort of render bar as you are mixing formats. It works fine...you can edit, but not at full quality (unfortunately). YOu will have to render when you are done...or you can convert the HDV to DVCPRO HD and THEN edit them together fine.

Wait...the DVCPRO HD is 1080i 60 at 24fps Not 1080pA24? How did you get it to 24fps?

I know for a fact that I shot at 24fps, but the codec says its 1080i60

I even shot a test shot just now and transfered it to my mac and checked the info and it's 1080i60 on the computer when i choose to shoot in the 1080i/24fp setting.
