Editing HD WIth G5

Hi. i have tried to search for the answer i want but the search wont let me use words like 'mac' and 'G5' but i was wandering if the following setup would be fast enough to edit HD. I plan to use it with footage from the HVX.

Dual 2ghz G5
2GB Ram
400GB HD
ATI Radeon 9650 256mb DDR Ram.

and if it isnt fast enough then what do i need
 
You'll want a separate hard drive for footage and I would recommend a RAID array if you are going to be shooting 100Mbps footage.

Remember that the HVX supplies NO BUILT IN BACKUP when shooting HD. If your hard drive crashes (which they can do!!) you will loose all your footage FOREVER! I strongly recommend planning a safe backup system for everything you shoot, be it firewire hard drives, DVDs, DLT tape or Blue Ray and HD DVD when they arrive.
