Editing FLV video (flv soft blues)

Hey guys,

Long time reader, first time poster. I looked in the search and couldn't find this question answered. So please forgive me if this question has already been asked (it'd be great if you guys can link me).

So I have this really great idea and am working to put together a bunch of these youtube clips. Unfortunately, Premiere keeps on crashing when I import these FLV files.

I bought the FLV Soft Moyea encoder and it seems to not work as well as I had thought. There is always this C++ RunTime Error that keeps on popping up.


So I was wondering what you guys do to import the video in and edit the video seamlessly? I am using Premeire Pro 1.5 or 2 I am not using CS 3

premiere doesn't support FLVs. There are plenty of websites on the web that will specifically convert youtube videos to other video formats when provided with a youtube URL

do a search flv to avi or mpeg, quicktime etc.
