Editing EX3 footage in Final cut

I am shooting 1080p25 on an EX3 but am confused as to what my work flow should be, in terms of FCP import, export, rendering etc settings should be to export the best quality footage from FCP.

At the moment i import using XDcam transfer but after that become very confused as to what my best options are. and then either want to export as a file for the internet or to compressor and eventually to DVD studio pro.

I am shooting in Europe so PAL.

Can anyone help?! Pleeease!
