Editing CinemaDNG files

Hi, Just a quick question. I've recently rented a BMCC and recorded some RAW footage. I didn't try to edit it yet, but I downloaded a codec that allows me to see the stills and the colours seem bright and vivid. They don't seem to have that LOG washed look... shouldn't they have it?

What the raw footage looks like depends on which raw processor you use and which color space it is encoded to for viewing. It is not at all like shooting encoded video since what you see on your monitor is processed into a viewable color image from a luminance file and metadata tags.
