Editing Anamorphic footage

So I've been interested in shooting Anamorphic for a while. And I recently bought the Letus AnamorphX adapter for my Sony FS700.
I shot some test footage with it the other week but I'm a little lost when it comes to editing anamorphic now. I'm talking about the "squeezing" part. This particular adapter shoots 1.33x, although I have read that's apparently not accurate.

Anyway, I've looked around at all the different methods for "squeezing" this kind of footage. I managed to figure one way out however the footage still didn't look right to my eye. Looked almost too squeezed.
So if anyone has any experience with this and can advise me on the most reliable/consistent way to do this in Premiere that would be great, and much appreciated!
