What more would you do to edit this photo? It is of some copper work that I did in an Italian Restaurant. I shot in raw, cropped, did a levels mask over the copper and sharpened. I am rebuilding my website and have been doing my best to take better shots and learn to clean up old photos that I could never photograph again. I also "filmed" it with my DVX for a video marketing plan for my works.

First off beautiful metal work.
Regarding the photo, the restaurant seems very empty and cold. If you had more people with a longer exposure time the motion blur would reflect a busy and active restaurant. Also, it would be interesting to see the same photo shot during the evening. It looks like some of those small halogens are illuminating the metalwork. Having areas of dark and light gives much more depth to an image, this image feels somewhat flat. If you shoot locked off with a tripod, you can shoot multiple exposures and end up with larger range of exposure to work with. my 2
 
Great advice and thanks for the nice reply. I was going to shoot at night but was afraid I wouldn't capture the metal in the dark. I'll be taking some busy night shots later this week to see what I can get better.
So far I think my subject isn't the main focus so maybe some blur in Photoshop would help force the eye to the copper. This 1 subject is going to set the example for the rest of my photos in my new Flash website. I'm shooting with an Olympus Evolt 500.

This project I shot raw and cropped, added white vignette and masked an orange photo filter adjustment. I cropped after the vignette though.

What do you think of the editing? Does it focus on the subject and in a good way?
 
FWIW, I prefer the lighting of the fireplace on this pic

You can see much more of the detail in the metal work. Better saturation. If you could blur the background a tad bit and magically remove the ugly orange barrel behind the fireplace you would be off to a good start.

I like the cleaner backround on the image above. Unfortunately, the fireplace itself doesn't pop. Could you reshoot it another day at "magic hour"?
