Editing 7D and 5D in FCP

First time using both cameras.

Importing the files into FCP (version 6.0.6) I am getting drop frames when I put the mov files in a sequence.

What am I doing wrong?
 
Transcode the files to ProRes first. H.264 files are really processor intensive and ProRes will make it a lot easier to work with. You won't lose any quality.

Use Compressor > Settings > Apple > ProRes 422.

If you shot in 60i use Cinema Tools to conform file to 24p for a nice slow mo shots.
 
Thanks Alan, I´ll begin a film with Red & 7D next summer.

H264 to Prores ask me for lots of Terabytes for Post with Canon. :shocked:
