FCP 5.1.4
Easy set up DVCPRHD 720 24p
video from HVX-200 720 24 p
Audio music from AIFF File
Audio Track recorded to DV tape which is Standard
HOw can i input 2 different types of audio formats into my 720 24p timeline?
You need to sync them up by lining up the DV audio with the HVX picture and then doing a merge clip. Hopefully you shot with a slate otherwise it's going to be trial and error.
Well you said you have audio on DV so you put that on a track in FCP then line it up with the HVX footage on a video track until they are in sync as you want them to be. Perhaps you can describe what it is your trying to accomplish with more details? All audio must be 16-bit 48Khz.
All footage is shot in 720 24p
I want to lay talent audio track that was recorded on a MiniDv tape in the field.
Underneath all of that I want to lay a music bed, the music that i have right now is an AIFF file.
I am on a 720 24p sequence timeline and the first thing i did was put the music AIFF file on the time line.. I heard popping sounds...
I then put the MiniDV audio on the timeline and i hard popping sounds...
Do I need to convert these over to DVCPRHD 720 in order for me to edit on that timeline?
if so how?
Yes- convert the audio first to stereo 48Khz 16-bit by opening in the QT player and exporting Sound to AIF. The popping sounds you hear are random sampling rate conversion errors that should go away with a proper conversion.
