"The welterweight elimination fight is on. The first round begins with Marcus Jordan keeping Eddie Soto on his feet and circling in the Octagon. Marcus makes some tentative jabs but doesn’t land anything. Eddie starts pressuring Marcus then grabs a leg and carries him across the cage where he body slams him, Matt Hughes-style. Eddie gets side control over Marcus and attacks him with brutal elbow strikes. In the process of landing a brutal jab, Eddie is taken out temporarily with a broken nose. Officials allowed to match to be held for no more than 2 min(UFC Standard Blood Time). With less than a minute to go in round one, Marcus taps out and Eddie is declared the winner. Holding back tears, Marcus says goodbye to his teammates. He leaves the UFC Training Center aware that his fighting days may finally be over. Afterwards, Eddie is brought to a nearby Emergency room to check the status of his injured nose. Dr. Joseph Weishenberg (Leading NYC E.N.T MD.) concluded Eddies nose had been broken in several places. Though due to a demand from Gillette Shaving Creams, Eddie was placed on board a last minute Jet Flight to Honduras for a UFC photoshoot. When asked about the timing and demand of the photo shoot, Eddie replied "Theres nothing I can do, Im a professional, I've got demands I've got to meet. A broken nose never stopped Me in the Past."
