echo question...

outtakes, wild takes, and ADR.

Manual or automatic gating (dropping the level immediately after a line of dialogue) may help for very short lines, but there really is no way to satisfactorily remove accoustic reverb from a recording during post-production.

If you do not have alternate versions from closer perspectives, you're only remaining options are to re-record the dialogue as ADR (wich will likely require foley as well), re-shoot the scene, or live with the available recording.

The only thing that I have found that helps is the compressor from Elemental Audio (now sold by Roger Nichols). Because it's a multi zone based on volume you can diminish quiet sounds while leaving louder sounds. Sometimes this can help, sometimes not depends on how much of the echo steps on the dialog. Mostly though your hosed.
