man bring back the 80's back to the future, the A-Team and Knight Rider saturdays just aren't the same anymore

They have a new album? Is Ian McCollough (sp?) back with 'em? I listen to my old LPs (transferred to CD (transferred to iPod)) all the time...

Oh how I love XM, what station, 80's?.....some of my 80's faves, the Buggles, AHA, the Cars, the Specials, the Clash, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Robert Palmer, Tears for Fears, Talking Heads........damn I could do this all day, but I won't for all your sakes:)

By pure coincidence I was watching the Anton Corbijn DVD from the PALM Directors Series and watched a couple of Echo videos: Seven Seas and The Game. My favorite on the disc though was The Killers: All These Things That I've Done.....amazing video and amazing song....a new anthem. I've got soul, but I'm not a soldier.

The killing moon is one of my fav Echo and the Bunneymen track also featured on the soundtrack of a film I really liked Donnie Darko.

Lots of good bands there... couple Id like to add: Joy Division (most of New Order came from), Madness, The Smiths, The Pixies, Violent Femmes, The Church... ah but the list could go on.

Jesus and Mary Chain- that's a 90's group. I do love them though! (saw them 2 times in concert- once at First Avenue in Minneapolis- right by the stage).

I've been having what I call "Big Hair 80's" flashbacks ass well. MP3's are a wonderful thing. Interpol started me back into listening to Joy Division again. The Killers- excellent stuff as well.

I've got some 80's bands for you...
"Throbbing Gristle", "Killing Joke" (early stuff), "The Stranglers ", and then I went through my whole period of synth bands, especially Wax Trax-Chicago/house music KMFDM, MLWT Thrill Kill Cult, etc.. Music seems to be coming full circle again.
