Not to shill for Amvona, but I ordered a C-Stand from them that arrived today. Perfectly happy with it & especially with the price.

I ordered two reflecting disks from them, and they're not bad.
 
Cool. Well looks like I'll give it shot. I'm not really looking for anything too directional right now. Just something the help difuse the light.

David - did you have to bid on the stands or did they have a "buy now" price?
 
I have 3 of Amvona's softbox outfits. They are just as good as photoflex. In fact I believe the light heads may be the same manufacturer as the starlite. The housings are almost identical. I like almost everything about these lights. I also like the springs in their light stands. Those can prevent damage.

When I was purchasing soft lights I had the choice to go with the Arri/Chimera combo. I actually liked the Starlight design better. By placing the lamp in the middle of the softbox you get very even lighting. The last thing you want to do is project light into a softbox. I know a bit about softboxes. I was building them for myself about 20 years ago and sold over 400 Photoflex units.

In auction a paid on average $160. per outfit. This probably represents one of the best buys in lighting that I know of.
 
Amvona rules. I have 3 of their lightstands and some grip heads and the quality is amazing for the price I paid. I'd imagine their lighting isn't far off.
