one of the things i dont like about the last skater dolly u posted is that it seems to run rather high off the ground. I think usually you want to be as close as you can to the ground....

the 1st post looks like it was inspired by teddy's design. wow, teddy's plywood design is quite famous...of course a lil revised it seems.
 
You're right but it's another idea. For some people the high is not so important than the movement.
