Ebay 1080AV Blimp/Zeppelin any good?

that's Cavision- made in china , i had one , now it servs somebody else , it very frangle , if you drop it it doesnt survive , and much less protect with high wind without the fur , with fur it works ok.
the blimp alone cost around 100 but frankly it will never survive as my 4-5 years rycotes
 
Agree with Exile. It's not great but adequate with furry. You would probably do better to buy a used Rycote or Lightwave blimp for same or less money.

1080AV was formerly known as Safer Seas. I personally have never ordered from them, but the internet is full of horror stories from abandoned customers after they closed up shop. Needless to say their reputation proceeds them.

TrewAudio.com often has used Rycote's on their consignment page in the $400 range.
 
I have an ME66. I'd like to get a capable wind screen for it. Any cost effective suggestions other than the DIY approach? Where can I buy Rycote or Lightwave blimps? Thanks.
 
check the coffee and trew sites regulary , the come from time to time
or ebay.usially 250-400 inc fur and wind sock , 650 for new
i sow zennheiser blimp on trew for 200 in used section , add k-tek suspention and make the fur by your self , you can come with 450 for that setup- in new condition
