easy way to tell if footage is 24p and / or 24pa ?

I have shot over 70 hours of footage. The first few hours were shot in straight 24p mode and then my memory gets a little hazy but at some point I switched over to 24p advanced for the rest of the shoot. Is there a simple way to tell which tape is which after the fact? Which is 24p and which is 24pa?

I have recently sold my dvx-100a so I can't use that to tell at the moment.

I will be using cinema tools to reverse telecine the 24p footage so I can use it with the 24pa footage in final cut pro (with 23.98 sequence) in case you're a wonderin'

Thank you in advance.

Without the camera, no, not really. What you could do is capture some footage into a 29.97 timeline and step through it. Within a group of five frames, if you see 2 interlaced frames it's 24PN footage, if you see only one interlaced frame it's 24PA.

Thanks ... that's a good way to tell the difference that I wouldn't have known to look for. I figured out a what tape I switched over so this technique works.

I think if you put your camera in VTR mode then press the COUNTER button several times it will show you what frame rate the tape was recorded in.
