I really want to read Eastern Promises by Steven Knight (directed by Cronenberg)

but I cannot find it on Amazon or the few free download sights I know about.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Ah thanks!

Particularly imterested in how the story / beats were conveyed on the page outside of dialogue. (on the special features they do some motion effects with the script pages - the snippets I could make out made me want to read more)

EDIT: Cool. It says "final version" but it is not a B.S. shooting script like you buy in a book store, and there are already some minor deviations from the film (which I saw last night) if memory serves. Exactly what I was looking for.

While I found EP a huge improvement over the most overrated film of 2005, I still prefer Knight's work on DPT over this. Something about the dialog just didn't gel right here. Maybe it's that Cronenberg never seems to do very well with other people's scripts (he's always in top-form when he goes about it himself--anyone know why he quit?), or maybe Knight kinda spaced this one off a bit (a lot of the cultural references were fairly superficial and unrealistic). Also, the ending was as Hollywood as you could get, another odd move from traditionally fresh C-berg. CRASH or Dead Ringers, this is not, but it's still far, far from poor.

Thanks to whomever posted the link to the script.
