Oh boy, I received my EWQLSO Gold today and finally had time to install it... It sounds AMAZING. Not that I have much to compare it to, actually just Garageband, Soundtrack and some cheap PC apps of the past, but I'd never believe something coming out of clicking a mouse button could sound so REAL and so POWERFUL. Seriously. I have only tried a few instruments so far and I can say for sure this is totally worth $500. I won't be hitting the sack any time soon now, as I imagine I'll spend whole night just listening to this thing :cheesy:
On a side note, I'm guessing I'll now need a comfortable way to play music, which I've never done before, unfortunately. Being a complete noob to this, what do I need? I have some 10 year old synthesiser/keyboard dusting somewhere; can I hook up that thing to my Mac (or at least PC) or do I need to buy one of 'em MIDI keyboards? And then, what do I need to have to connect either of them, a sound card with MIDI IN (like Audiophile) or a USB/Firewire MIDI converter/adapter thing or maybe something else? Any advice would help, really. I sooo want to put my new software to a good use...
