LOL, we had a 4.5 earthquake here in Barrington IL at 1:11am last night. It didn't last long and it was only a magnitude 4.5. We never get earthquakes out here. Damn, I wish I would of had my DVX out when it happened that would have been sweet...oh well... ;D
I used to live in Chicago and I guess there's a major fault that goes through the city that's just never resulted in an earthquake. That's why they don't detonate old buildings in Chicago. They don't want to upset the fault.
Of course, I heard this from a sound engineer, so I don't know if he's the most reliable source for earthquake science.

Heh heh... That sounds like something out of a Superman movie!
I doubt destroying a building would set off a quake. Would be spooky though if that's all it took for that faultline.
Yeah, I think it's a better safe than sorry approach. I'm sure there's some detonation of smaller buildings, but the bigger skyscarpers come down via wrecking balls.
Kyle I always said you rocked! That is the limit of DVX mindedness, the earth beneath my feet is being displaced and my first thought is . . . err I need to shoot this! If your gonna die, die with your dvx rollin' ;D
That wasn't a quake, that was a little tremor. I felt it and thought my cat was scratching himself. Then again, the epicenter was 70 miles away from Chicago.
I was living in Mexico City in 1985. Now that's scary! Hopefully we wont have one of that kind over here. I think the people in California are experienced in that manner.
