Earphone jack kaput

Hi

My DVX102A's earphone jack has no sound output. (Nothing wrong with RCA audio output though.)

I sent it to panasonic for repair and came back with a part replaced. - VTR MAIN PCB

Now the sound from phone jack is very loud, in fact it became distorted when i turn up the monitor level to 4 bars onwards.
- Audio level is good (before red.)
- RCA audio output sounds fine but very soft.
- recorded sound is fine.

Problem still lies with the phone jack.

Any idea what's wrong before I send it for service again?

Luckily the unit is still under warranty cos the replaced part is very expensive. What is that anyway?

Cheers!
(forgive my bad english)

Video Tape Recorder Main Printed Circuit Board, most likely.

In other words, they yanked out the guts and put new guts in. Easier than trying to fix whatever is wrong.
