Earmounted Binaural Mic

I'm checking these out. I am interested in the effect and looking to discuss if anyone has used them and what are their experiences with them. Pros Cons in recording with and dealing with the sound in post.

So far I've been looking at Sound Professionals stuff. Lots of options from $30 - $300.

I have never used these, largely in part because I've talked to a lot of people who have and suggested against using them by themselves for sound fx recording. Now, that's not to say if I had several other mics out, and had a bi-naural mic handy that I wouldn't use it, but I would be a bit hesitant to use it as my only sound fx gathering mic for one specific.

I am interested in using the effect of a Bi-Naural mic for travelling diary/documentary style film. I am wondering if there is anyone here that have used these mics (exclusively or in combination with other mics) for their documentaries. What films do people know of that I can possibly check out, that feature this kind of sound.

It might not be so different from say a surround sound effect but I might be creating something that will be presented with headphone use in mind (such as art installations or audio book type of thing).
