Eagle vs mountain goat.

There was a brief post on the youtube site that the goat was set up, put in position if you will. That's speculation but it's possible from what I understand about wildlife producers as I've heard.

At any rate, it is a fact of wildlife behaviour. These things can be hard to watch sometimes if your an animal lover like me but that's what it is.

I would never have imagined a bird could do that. They could in theory haul a child away. Kinda weird.

This is awesome. I actually was having this conversation on set the other day. I was pretty surprised to hear that an eagle could throw a goat off a mountain...seeing it is very surreal. Survival of the fittest, I suppose.

This is a Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente Documentary, He is well known here in Spanish and was the eminence in animal documentaries. But he also received some bad critics and was accused of using trained animals to stage this scene. (this excerpt is part of his "El Hombre y la tierra" documentary series)

Okay, then that would have been an odd training session for the goats: "Stay. Ignore that eagle swooping in on you."

I believe the goats were promised a one in a lifetime chance to show their abilities as film stuntanimals, high risk high pay situation. But the producers forgot to ask for a foam mountain set, instead they got a real rock mountain set......

Must have been a Craigslist ad then.

"Wanted: Goats to act in a prominent film. Guaranteed credit and IMDB listing. Payment of 500.00 to be payed directly to you after wrap."

One eagle to the other:
"What are you doing today?"
"Not much, thought I'd swing by the goat drop for dinner, wanna fly by later?"

Eagles are huge, strong and scary!
