Eagle Eye

So did anybody see it?

I may go today... by myself... it's one of those days and even though rottentomatoes gives it a 25% SPLAT... the premise is really intriguing me.

This Shia LaBeouf kid is quickly becoming an A list actor who will earn top dollars for his talent. This film just boost him up even more. It's a good "political" action thriller that's worth me and my wife's 10 matinee dollars.

Saw it, enjoyed it.

Not the best movie in the world but it was a fun ride. Ending made up for whatever faults I found earlier. I liked the end.

It's a flawed, dumbed down political actioner that makes for a fun watch. I have nothing against Eagle Eye despite what sounds like a really negative criticism, I don't regret spending my well earned cash on it. But there's no doubt in my mind that the flick is filled to the rim with logic holes that, when pondered over, just tear the story to shreds.

If you treat it in the same vein as a movie like Crank, where you just sort of go with the ride, then everything will be just fine. Just make sure to talk about something else after the movie.

I agree. Everything is exagerated with a Hollywood budget to make it fun and entertaining. Nothing else. I still say, this Shia dude is on his way to the A list of the top dogs of Hollywood though.

He's also being heavily pushed by the biggest director in history...lol. Speilberg is shuving this guy into the top with each project he offers him. He saw the talent, and fed him.

Lots of people don't like Shia, but he will end up being the next Tom Hanks I think, in the next 30 years. Thats a bold statement, but the signs are definetely there.

I will give him lots of credit. He is a good actor, a busy young actor who is raking in the big doughs...=). I hope the guy doesn't messed up somewhere along the way.

I thought it was pretty terrible. Basically borrowed from almost every other, better thriller, and had an unbelivable an unrealistic plot.

Which was sad because I had high hopes for it, but I guess the trailer was just well edited.

The movie reminded me of Will Smith's "Enemy of the State." It was very entertaining. it's true....if you don't pay attention to some of the holes in the story then it's a good ride. Also the ending is a good one.

Yes..Speilberg is pushing young Shia like crazy. He's been a Disney channel favorite of ours for a number of years and it's good to see him transition into bigger budget movies. I saw it coming with smaller roles in I-Robot, Constantine etc. (those roles actually made no sense whatsoever). But i think the movie "Holes' showed his potential.

But like Pathfinder said...I really hope he does not get messed up along the way. he's already had some minor run ins....but....time will tell.

My friend wrote this film and invited me to a screener at paramount. It was a blast, I had a fun time. It wasn't a blockbuster but it was a solid popcorn flick with tons of high paced action and suspense. Pretty cool.
