Dynamic Link with after effects

Experiencing some odd behaviour with dynamic link between premiere CS5 and After Effects. I have a couple of layers in premiere that I 'replace with after effects composition'. i do some position keyframing in after effects and everything seems to keyframe to the position that I want. When I save and go back into premiere, the keyframes look like they worked except that the position or timing seems to be off. I'm not sure why it looks ok in after effects but in premiere it looks different. The settings including frame rate seem to match between premiere and after effects. Has anyone else experienced this?
 
So It turns out that for some reason when you the layer underneath teh keyframe layer, duplicates the first frame when reaplced in premiere. To correct this manually, I have to delete the first frame in premiere and then take the keyframed layer in after effects and delay that layer by one frame. This causes the keyframing to be off by one frame in after effects but it then lines up in premiere.

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix for this?
