I'm trying to sort out a really heinous bit of bodgery for a friend, involving converting a video file he has into some usable in FCP. The original file is in DX50 format, which is a version of divx. It plays fine in VLC (as that contains all its own codecs etc) but my system doesnt have the latest version of divx, so i cant do anything with the file in mpeg streamclip, or anything else for that matter. The next issue is that I can't install the latest version of divx, as my G5 is pre-intel.
Any suggestions???
