DVXuser Script - Just for kicks -

I know this topic should probably be in the script section, but I love hanging out in the Cafe and anyhow this is just for fun so . . . guess it's ok . . . unless we get moved (Jarred ;))

The idea is this . . . a tag along story, I post the opening paragraph, then hey anyone, anyone just pick up the thread!

- NO NAME -

FADE IN:
EXT. ROOFTOP - NIGHT
Fleeting car lights swirl through the intersection below whilst we look on . . . from . . . the roof of the 13th floor watching, whilst the falling rain wets the streets below.

CAMERA PULLS BACK TO JASON'S OVER SHOULDER
He looks on, not contemplating the jump but looking for a familiar red and black striped umbrella.

Re: DVXuser Script - Just for kicks -

Jason cant find it and uses the business journal instead. The cheap newsprint turns quicky to pulp. He takes a last long drag ooff a cigarette and chucks it into the streets below.

The penthouse courtyard is a sanctimonius retreat complete with a garden, blue awning and dark wood lattice. From inside we hear the soft sounds of Jazz an Tangerine Dream. Jason walks back into the Penthouse loft through French Doors.

INT - LOFT - NIGHT

Re: DVXuser Script - Just for kicks -

Suddenly the roof collpases and Jason is squashed to death.

(Sorry, I couldn't resist. ;D)

INT - LIVING ROOM - AFTERNOON

Jason wakes up in a cold sweat feeling every moment of the nightmare as if was realy happening. He relaxes and . . . as his sences ease off the adrenalin spike he rests back into the chair, only to find that his fist is still clenched tight, dripping wet with the . . . the pulped pages of the same business journal! The date on the remenants of the front page is . . .

Re: DVXuser Script - Just for kicks -

The only problem here is how do you find a 13th floor? I cant remember ever being in a building with one that was accessable. If you go into an elevator and look it will have 12 and 14 but no 13...oh but its a dream.

INT-LIVING ROOM-AFTERNOON

...Jan 1st 1999. Jason scratches his balls and takes a big whiff of his finger.
Jason - Ahhhhhh, Jennifer.
I think that was her name.
Wonder where she went?
Jason heads to the bathroom and whips out his tool.
Jason- aarrrrgggg what the ****!
ooowwwww, its burns!!!! it burns!!!

Re: DVXuser Script - Just for kicks -

A deep echoed sound travels from deep inside the apartment.  The echoed growl stops Jason from previous activities.

    Jason
What the **** was that?

The growl is no longer echoing.  It is louder now, and just beond the door of his bathroom.  The door of the bathroom is locked tightly shut and the darkness of the room ignites a fear within Jason.  He begins to sweat prefusely just as he did after his dream.  A creature outside the door begins to shake the round brass handle as if to try to enter the small bathroom.  Jason slides back on the floor and leans against the wall furthest away from the wooden barrier.  The knob shakes more rapidly.  The brass knob and old lock finally give in to the pressure. The wooden door creakes open.  A light shines from behind the shadowed figure as if to announce the coming of an angel.  The creature steps in and through the dusty dark air we see a fat greasy old man wearing a wife beater.  The wife beater is no longer white.

Re: DVXuser Script - Just for kicks -

It's red with spotted dried blood. Jason rears back in fear but then notices something.

Jason utters a deep sigh of relief.

JASON
Uncle Ted, it's only you. I thought
you were... something else.

His UNCLE TED extends his arm and helps Jason to his feet.

UNCLE TED
Jason, the door was open. I thought
maybe you wouldn't mind be barging
in. I heard screams...

Jason looks at the ground sheepishly.

JASON
Uh, yeah. I, uh, stubbed my toe.
Hurts like a mother.

Jason and his uncle Ted head into the living room...

the black sheep of the family.)

UNCLE TED

walks to the fridge . . .

Mona is history . . . . . even though latley I am having these
dreams . . . at the wieredest times and in the strangest places . .
. . . an Mona . . .

Opens up the bud he picked out of the fridge . . .

Re: DVXuser Script - Just for kicks -

The crisp, cold beer slides down his throat as he takes a long swig.

UNCLE TED
This butcher **** is getting old.

He takes off his blood-stained beater and tosses it over a railing.

JASON
Thanks. I've been meaning to paint
that. Most normal butchers wear a coat
or smock or whatever.

UNCLE TED
Oh, I do. Blood goes right though. Haha,
you should have seen the face on the
little old lady that lives on the third floor
as I was coming up the stairs. Priceless.

Re: DVXuser Script - Just for kicks -

JASON
You smell like haggis. Maybe you should put install a shower in the back of the shop.

UNCLE TED
It's not haggis, it's yak meat.

JASON
Yak?

UNCLE TED
Yeah, yak meat is the trendy new delicacy. All the yuppies are ordering yak filets these days. Nothing beats a grilled yak steak with a glass of merlot. Well, except perhaps a wildebeest filet. I just love grilled wildebeest.

EXT. - OUTSIDE BURGER KING

MAN #1
Hey Steve, I think we should quit this ****ing job.

STEVE
So we can be ****ing homeless and eat out of trashcans? Well **** that. I don't want to be known as the trashcan-scavaging, homeless guy.

MAN #1
How can a guy with your station in life give a flying **** about dignity? You make money flipping burgers for **** sake!

STEVE
Listen, flipping burgers pays. Eating out of trashcans doesn't. Whopper 1, the life of a nomad, 0.
