DVXUser Battery Problem

Sorry to cross post, but I put this in the wrong section initially.

I'm having an issue with my DVXuser battery and want to know if anyone else has encountered this, or has any suggestions.

The battery is about a year old, and I probably use it almost as often as the one that came with the camera. It has never fit as well as the factory one. It's a tighter fit and sometimes gets slightly wedged in place. There are times that I think it's in place and it isn't because it fits so tightly.

This morning I have tried repeatedly to mount the battery and I am SURE it is seating in the proper spot. I am also SURE that it is FULLY CHARGED. But I get no response from the camera. The camera works fine with the factory battery however, so I know it isn't the camera.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I rely heavily on having 2 batteries and have a lot of location shooting scheduled for the next 5 days.

If you're stuck, I can send you a couple of batts (DVXuser ones though), as long as you send them back after the shoot --- I will write AUF WIEDERSEHEN on them! :)

I am hoping it won't come to that however. But if I need them, I will let you know.
